Maja Lindströmömöm founded Husdjurskompaniet in Linköping in 2019 after three years working the floor of a physical pet shop. She studied animal care at Naturbruksgymnasiet in Östergötland and spent a year volunteering at a dog rescue shelter before moving into retail. The shop grew out of her frustration with distributor-led buying decisions and her conviction that pet owners deserve honest product information. She lives in Linköping with her two cats, Rut and Sigge, and a border terrier named Bror. Her habit of writing product descriptions late in the evening, with a cup of tea and the cats on the desk, is the reason the copy on this site sounds the way it does.
